The inspiration behind the CULTURWB comes from the well-recognized need identified by all project partners in the Western Balkans region who work in the tourism and economy sectors and who already have a long-standing cooperation. All of them agree that there is an obvious need to strengthen the cultural tourism industry development in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro, to create and improve strategies for development of cultural tourism in these countries, address its importance and raise awareness of its pivotal role in safeguarding the rich cultural heritage in the region and beyond.

The concrete CULTURWB objectives are:
• Conduct research on instances and required competences of personnel in the cultural tourism industry;
• Develop a LLL programme;
• Develop an interdisciplinary MA program that consolidates the field of tourism management and culture & heritage by equipping the graduates to acquire the required qualifications for professional career in managing cultural aspects of tourism and heritage;
• Connect the tourism industries between the involved non-EU countries and prepare each WB partner country for the EU integration.

CULTURWB specific objectives are:
• Evaluation of the current situation in WBC in regards to applying the global developments in the tourism industry/Ljubljana process II Priorities non University and explores teacher training and education capacities;
• Foster university/enterprise cooperation trough developing a Lifelong Learning program and provide know-how support and entrepreneurship competences to owners of cultural, historical and architectural monuments;
• Develop an interdisciplinary master program that consolidates the field of management of culture and heritage by applying new methodologies and specific learning outcomes.

LLL PROMOTION AND WORKSHOP AT MATICA SRPSKA GALLERY, NOVI SAD, SERBIA, 09 November 2017

On Thursday (9/11/2017) CULTURWB team held a workshop at the authentic ambient of Matica Srpska Gallery in Novi Sad, Serbia, where all participants were professionals from different fields of tourism and culture profession. We presented and promoted the LLL course, got some precious inputs from them, and looking forward to start with the implementation of the course.

SUCCESFUL REALIZATION OF LIFE LONG LEARNING COURSES

The University of Novi Sad and The Provinicial Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments has successfully finished Life Long Learning courses. All participants got the final certificate and materials for the lectures and the MOODLE accounts. This is the first course that realized with CULTURWB project. The feedback of participants was satisfied.

BREDA WORKSHOP

Workshop in Breda took place at NHTV Breda (22-25.01.2018). During these days Consortium members worked on the topics such as:
– Quality assurance in HE today connected to the CULTURWB MA development
– LLL courses reporting and feedback
– MA study program development draft and accreditation

MONITORING VISIT FROM NHTV BREDA UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES, May 14th 2018

Our colleague from NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences, Tijs van Es was a guest of The Provincial Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments in Petrovaradin. He had chance to be informed about activities of our Institute on the CULTURWB project and other acitivities on research, conservation, revitalisation and promotion of cultural heritage in Vojvodina and abroad. The reason of his visit was also the monitoring of the Lifelong Learning course implementation. Tijs van Es used this opportunity to visit our project partners from University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Sciences and to talk to the LLL students and potential students of new MA course in cultural heritage. MOSTAR CONFRENECE & WORKSHOP (JUNE 18-22, 2018)

Reprezentatives of The Provincial Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments, Bogdan Janjušević and Jasna Gulan, took a part in Mostar Dissemination conference with workshops within CULTURWB project where all 13 partners participated. At this event, a conference on cultural tourism was held with the aim of gathering stakeholders from the region and presenting the goal and results of the project, but also initiating their networking and cooperation. A panel discussion was also held on the successful implementation of the LLL course where professors, course participants and other guests gave their views and described experiences and impressions. Every WB HEI partner brought two students on this event and finally, a workshop led by the professors from University of Novi Sad was held, with the aim of introducing students to the basic skills of project management and product creation in tourism.

International Conference "Cultural Diversity: The Common Heritage of Humanity"
and the meeting of the consortium CULTURWB in Sarajevo

Representative of the Provincial Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments, Dr. Bogdan Janjušević, participated at the international conference "Cultural Diversity: The Common Heritage of Humanity" and the meeting of the consortium CULTURWB in Sarajevo, held from 18 to 20 October 2018. After a very successful conference, we continue with the next steps towards establishing a Network for Cultural Tourism in the Western Balkans.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the organization and realization of this important event.


SECOND YEAR OF SUCCESFUL REALIZATION OF LIFE LONG LEARNING COURSES

The University of Novi Sad and The Provinicial Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments has successfully finished second year of Life Long Learning courses in the period from November 23rd to December 15th. All participants got the final certificate and materials for the lectures and the MOODLE accounts. This is the second cycle of courses that was realized with CULTURWB project. HERITAG CONFERENCE AND CULTURWB CONSORTIUM MEETING IN TBILISI 2019

Partners from CulturWB project were guests on the final conference another Erasmus+ project HERiTAG. The event was held on Georgian Technical University in Tbilisi, Georgia in a colorful setting of Giorgi Nikoladze Conference Hall.
Erasmus+ supported HERiTAG project successfully completed with the Final Conference on 3 April, held as part of the joint events of 3-5 April, in partnership with Erasmus+ CulturWB project, final events culminating with inter-coaching workshop held on 4 April, 2019. Joint events were attended by 66 participants, including 22 international participants from CulturWB project.:)
The reprezentitves of The Provincial Institute for the Protection of Cultural monuments Petrovaradin on these events were Bogdan Janjušević and Jasna Gulan.

CTTH 2019 CONFERENCE IN NOVI SAD AND CONSORTIUM MEETING

The Consortium meeting of CULTURWB project was held as a part of CTTH - Contemporary Trends in Tourism and Hospitality 2019 conference on Sptember 12-13th in Novi Sad. Conference and CULTURWB project was also promoted in local journal specialized for tourism “Top Srbija”. We would like to thank to editorial of the journal for promoting our activities.

MASTER COURSE INFODAY IN NOVI SAD

INFODAY about newly established master course “Management of cultural heritage and cultural tourism” was held at the Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management (Faculty of Science, University of Novi Sad, Serbia) on September 23rd, 2019. Students were informed about the course, professors and all other relevant information.

THE THIRD CYCLE OF LIFELONG LEARNING COURSES

The Provincial Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments and Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management (Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad) successfully implemented the third cycle of lifelong learning courses under the CULTURWB project („Capacity Building for Change in Tourism in the Western Balkans – Building Competences for Heritage Management and Cultural Tourism“), from November 22nd to December 20th, 2019.
The lecturers Dr Bogdan Janjušević and mr.sci Jasna Gulan held a course called: „Cultural Awareness - Western Balkans Cultural Heritage Today and Tomorrow“.
All participants got the final certificate.



MONITORING VISIT FROM FH JOANNEUM GRAZ, February 27th 2020.

On February 27th 2020, there was monitoring visit by Ingrid Kienberger and Harald Friedl from FH Joanneum Graz to The Provincial Institute for the protection of cultural monuments and University of Novi Sad. It was a pleasure to be their host. They used this opportunity to talk with the LLL students and first generation of students of new MA course. We hope that realization of CULTURWB project will be fully successful.
